Flying start for canal-side homes in Falkirk
Sales at a new canal-side housing development close to Falkirk town centre have raced past the halfway mark in just a couple of weeks.Twenty-six of the 47 properties at Redrow’s Lockkeepers Wynd have been sold – including all of the two, three and four-bedroom houses – leaving just 21 apartments to be sold at the development in Etna Road.
Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), said:
“There was a lot of pent-up demand for these homes, fuelled in part by the fact that we had previously developed the site next door, Abbots Wynd, so people in the town were familiar with the Redrow name and the quality of our product.
“The remaining apartments offer two-bedroom accommodation and some of them will overlook the Forth & Clyde Canal.”
Redrow’s development is giving a complete overhaul to a two-acre site previously occupied by Jewson’s building yard in the town.
The homes offer a combination of stylish design and contemporary interiors within walking distance of the town centre, as well as offering easy access to the M8 and M9 motorways. Being brand new, they will be energy efficient and easy to maintain – making them ideal for a range of buyers, including first time home owners, downsizers and investors.
Features include a spacious lounges with bay windows, sliding doors to the kitchen creating a truly flexible living space. Wardrobes are included as standard to the master bedroom and are optional extras should you wish Redrow to tailor a package from their Indulge Options. Prices start from £119,995 to £134,995, making them extremely affordable.
The first of the properties should be ready to move into by spring/summer and would-be purchasers can view plans and computer generated images at the Lockkeepers Wynd marketing suite, off Etna Road, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
