Redrow - Developer of choice for estate agent

Redrow - Developer of choice for estate agent As an estate agent, Claire Lowe has seen more than her fair share of new homes, so when it came to buying her own she knew which developer she wanted - Redrow. Claire, 25, and her partner, Derek Walker, a 27-year-old engineer, have just moved into a three-bedroom house at Lockkeepers Wynd in Falkirk, with their two-year old son Alexander.

Claire, who works for Alexander Taylor, in Bonnybridge, said: "My role as an estate agent has been invaluable when choosing my new home because I have first-hand experience of new homes from developers across the board, so I was already aware that Redrow has a consistently good standard.

"I think what makes Redrow stand out from its competitors is the finish of its homes. I have always been impressed with Redrow's attention to detail and the homes at Lockkeepers Wynd are no exception - our house was beautifully presented.

"The workmanship between one house-builder and another can vary enormously and Redrow's is definitely one of the best."

There is just one house remaining to be sold at Lockkeepers Wynd, so there is still a chance to get your hands on one of Redrow's popular properties. The three-bedroom Irwell is ‘priced to go' at £165,995 and has the benefit of a choice of incentives as part of the ‘re:assure' package, so Redrow does not expect it to be available for long.

There are also a limited number of two-bedroom apartments at the same canalside location. With prices starting from just £119,995 the apartments are ideal for first-time buyers or investors. They would also suit downsizers looking for a low maintenance lifestyle.

Lockkeepers Wynd is situated alongside the Forth and Clyde Canal, a waterway which is enjoying a major facelift as part of the ongoing Helix Project.

Redrow's development is not far from the exciting work being carried out to transform the landscape between Falkirk and Grangemouth into a thriving environmental community, including woodland paths, cycle ways, water features and public art. The Helix Project will also involve re-connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal to the Forth estuary.

Falkirk retains the values of a traditional Scottish market town but has all the benefits of modern living, boasting a fabulous variety of amenities, with a superb combination of high street stores and independent speciality retailers, a weekly farmers' market, as well as a range of restaurants and pubs. A number of idyllic parks and gardens are also on the doorstep.

With excellent commuter links, Lockkeepers Wynd offers easy access to the surrounding area and motorway network and Glasgow and Edinburgh are each just over 30 minutes drive away.
