A family affair at Barratt’s Osprey Village development

Local couple Alistair Strachan and Elaine Cruickshank were so impressed with the quality, choice and personal service offered to them by Barratt when they moved into their new home in the initial phase of Osprey Village, that they have now recommended the development to their family and friends.
The couple, who have two children Erin, 17, and Callum, 8, moved into a luxury five bedroom Canterbury home earlier this year, and since then say they have been really impressed with the way the development is taking shape and the growing sense of community which is emerging throughout Osprey Village.
So much so in fact, that Elaine’s parents, Maureen and Gordon have now purchased their first Barratt home at Osprey Village – on their daughter’s recommendation. Originally from the Deeside area, the Cruickshanks wanted to move to be nearer their family, and decided there was no better place to set up home than in the same development as Elaine, Alistair and their grandchildren.
Elaine said: “We moved across here from Aboyne in the spring and are delighted by how quickly we have made friends with our neighbours. Because Osprey Village is a brand new development it has been so easy to fit in – everyone moved into their new homes around the same time and we have all quickly become friends.
“From the very beginning we were impressed with the level of service and genuine interest shown in our specific requirements by everyone at Barratt. The whole housebuying process was stress-free, and we had no reservations about recommending Barratt, both as a housebuilder and a friendly, informative firm to my parents, and it’s great to have mum and dad as near neighbours now.
“Osprey Village is such a wonderful place to live and it doesn’t surprise me that it is proving so popular with househunters. It is a very impressive development – so much so that some family friends who came to visit us here recently have also decided to reserve a property in a future phase.”
Osprey Village is situated on the outskirts of Inverurie, on the Oldmeldrum Road, and will feature 188 executive homes – ranging from three to six bedroom properties – when complete.
Current prices at the development range from £277,995 to £395,995.
The sales centre and show-home at Osprey Village is open from 11am–5.30pm, Thursday-Monday. Further information is available online at Barratthomes.co.uk.
