Recognition for Europe's 100 best Volkswagen Service Centres

Volkswagen has named its top 100 European outlets ranked on service quality and customer retention, and recognised the achievements of the staff responsible at an awards ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany. Ten Retailers from across the UK were among the winners who came from 26 countries across Europe as well as Turkey and Russia.

In this, the second Volkswagen Service Quality Award competition, the following UK outlets proved themselves to be among those outlets which have demonstrated best practice in customer care and aftersales, kept repeat repair rates down and achieved the best results with regard to service quality and customer retention:

Small:
Anthony Motors, Aberystwyth, Dyfed (second time winner)
Walkingshaw, Workington, Cumbria
Heritage of Westbury, Wiltshire

Medium:
Helston Garages, Cornwall
T L Darby Volkswagen, Burton-On-Trent, Staffs (second time winner)
Hadwins Volkswagen, Grange Over Sands, Cumbria (second time winner)

Large:
Sinclair Volkswagen, Swansea, West Glamorgan (second time winner)
Hayselden (Barnsley), South Yorkshire (second time winner)
Benfield Silverlink, Tyne and Wear

Authorised Repairer:
North Street Motors, Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire (second time winner)
The winners were invited to a special event at Wolfsburg which included a factory tour, on- and off-road driving experience with Volkswagen Motorsport and an overnight stay in The Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Service quality is one of the most important factors in the automotive sector. Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group commented: ‘It has a crucial influence on customer satisfaction and customer retention and therefore not only helps to secure workshop business but also provides significant impetus to automotive business as a whole. Only satisfied customers will remain loyal to the Volkswagen brand in the long term,’ he emphasised.

Alison Jones, Volkswagen UK’s Head of Customer Services and Aftersales, said: ‘We’re delighted that 10 UK outlets have been recognised in this way. We strive for the highest standards in customer care through recruitment, training and programmes such as the Volkswagen Service Promise. We are very proud of these Retailers who set such a fine example to the entire Network.’
