Vauxhall Vivaro is top scorer with talkSPORT

Football fans across the UK can now listen to live broadcasts of talkSPORT’s popular ‘Fan in a Van’ feature thanks to a new mobile broadcast unit supplied by Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles.

The Vauxhall Vivaro Doublecab model on which the unit is based is proving to be a top scorer for the UK’s only national commercial speech radio station. It offers a spacious interior that includes seating for up to six people as well as ample room for the broadcast equipment. And sliding doors on both sides make it ideal for its radio role allowing easy access for fans and reporters even when the vehicle is in a tight spot.

Not surprising then that the Vivaro is top of its own league, winning the ‘Best Medium Van’ title two years in a row in the Van Fleet World Honours awards.

‘Fan in a Van’ forms part of the talkSPORT Saturday Match Day Live programme, which provides live coverage of Barclays Premier League games. The Vivaro will operate from motorway service stations along the main routes to matches and fans will be invited to come into the van to contribute their views about the game they are travelling to watch. They’ll also have the chance to win spot prizes by answering football questions.

The handover of the Vivaro by Vauxhall Marketing Director, Andy Gilson to Charlotte Pilkington, Sponsorship Manager at talkSPORT marks Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles third year as sponsor of the station’s live coverage of the Barclays Premier League.
