MVRA helps Stoneacre bodyshops achieve PAS 125
Bodyshops at two branches of the Stoneacre Group have been awarded the Thatcham/BSI PAS 125 Kitemark quality repair standard thanks to support from the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI)’s MVRA.Stoneacre Doncaster and Stoneacre Scunthorpe’s bodyshops have both received the Kitemark, the UK industry standard that provides the processes and procedures directly related to the safe repair of accident-damaged vehicles.
Stoneacre’s other branches are awaiting approval and the group expects to have 50 per cent of its bodyshops PAS 125-accredited by the end of 2009.
RMI Chief Executive Rob Foulston said: ‘Bodyshops can benefit substantially from the expertise MVRA has acquired in helping many of its members achieve the Bodyshop Kitemark. We work with BSI and Thatcham to ensure bodyshops get the optimum value from the Kitemark scheme.’
‘This is an outstanding achievement for our group’s PAS 125 coordinator Mike Bell, and all the Stoneacre bodyshop staff. Well done to all concerned,’ said Kevin Harrington, Stoneacre Group Bodyshop Development Manager.
Kevin went onto to thank the MVRA who have been working with the group’s bodyshops to implement the necessary processes and systems to achieve the Kitemark: ‘We have a long standing relationship with the MVRA as Bodyshop members. When we initially started on the route towards achieving Kitemark, using the MVRA was an easy decision for us as we were confident we had a partner we could trust to deliver. With their expertise and knowledge of the PAS 125 specification, it has resulted in us achieving the Kitemark.’
‘I would also like to say a special well done to all of our Stoneacre staff who have now been awarded the ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) accreditation, as I am completely aware that to achieve this standard is not an easy task,’ Kevin added.
