MPH Show steers clear of Yamaha Pantryboy Supreme
In the run up to this year’s MPH Show featuring Top Gear Live, a poll has exposed the Yamaha Pantryboy Supreme as the daftest named vehicle on the planet.Around the world, it seems that vehicle manufacturers have given cars and vans some of the most obscure and ridiculous names ever conceived and the event organisers want to make sure these never make an appearance at the show – unless, of course, it’s to blow them up!
Instead, between 5-8 November, the Earls Court show halls will be packed with 200 of the fastest and most prestigious cars in the world, including examples from Aston Martin, Bugatti, Caparo, Ferrari, Jaguar, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Pagani, Porsche and Spyker.
Unfortunately that leaves no room for the Isuzu Mysterious Utility Wizard (voted #2), the Isuzu GIGA 20 Light Dump (#3); the Honda Life Dunk (#4); Suzuki Every Joy Pop Turbo (#5); Daihatsu Naked (#6); Isuzu Big Horn (#7).
Over 2,200 visitors to newcarnet.co.uk chose these vehicles from a list of 10 daft names to ensure their exclusion from the show.
Show director for MPH, Charlotte Aldiss, said: “While we enjoyed compiling the list our attention is on bringing the most spectacular cars in the world together under one roof and creating a memorable experience for capacity crowds.”
