Crest celebrates Park Central success

Bordered by Bath Row and Lee Bank Middleway, Park Central is an innovative residential-led, mixed use development with eight acres of landscaped public parkland at its heart – an entirely new proposition for Birmingham’s city centre marketplace. With a range of contemporary apartments priced from just £99,950 and government-backed assistance schemes available for eligible buyers, Crest is enjoying a successful year at Park Central and is continuing to help a high proportion of first time buyers onto the property ladder.
As 2009 begins to draw to a close, Crest has commissioned a new one-bedroom show apartment at Park Central which is set to be unveiled on the 7 and 8 November. Sales manager Jo Parker explained: “Our experience at Park Central has shown that when it comes to making such a big decision as buying a new home, it is incredibly important to give visitors to the scheme the opportunity to look around a show apartment and get a feel for the space they could be living in.
“Prospective purchasers always appreciate the ability to see the interior specification in situ, and the chance to experience the surrounding environment while stood in an apartment rather than simply relying on floorplans and marketing suite models alone. Many also take inspiration from the professionally-designed interior scheme when it comes to furnishing or styling their own home.
“Show apartments therefore represent an investment in giving purchasers what they want and are key in enhancing the visitor experience for those who take the time to drop into Park Central. As sales continue to remain strong at the scheme, and we are increasingly seeing signs of recovery in the wider property market, there is a demand among Birmingham’s homebuyers for ‘fresh’ new products. We believe the new show apartment at Park Central will help to meet this need, creating a sense of excitement and a real buzz around the properties available here.”
A selection of contemporary one bedroom apartments is currently available at Park Central priced from just £99,950, with two bedroom apartments available from £126,950. A range of luxury two bedroom duplex penthouses are available from £167,000.
HomeBuy Direct is currently available for eligible purchasers at Park Central. This popular government scheme reduces the mortgage amount needed by buyers to secure their first home. Those who have a household income of less than £60,000 can take advantage of Homebuy Direct and will benefit from the government covering up to 30 per cent of the property price with a loan. This then leaves the buyer to raise a more affordable mortgage for the remaining 70 per cent – a huge help for both first time buyers and key workers.
Jo added: “Having been closely involved in the evolution of the new show apartment from the appointment of the interior designers to the approval of the mood boards, I am confident this latest addition to our portfolio of show homes will not disappoint. When the doors to the apartment are opened to the public in November, we expect a flurry of interest and I would urge those interested in being among the first to view the property to register their interest now.”
Park Central is the result of an innovative partnership between Crest Nicholson and joint landowners Birmingham City Council and Optima Community Association. The marketing suite is open daily from 10am to 5pm and is located at Park Central, 2 Mason Way, Birmingham B15 2EY.
