Couple move up the Essex property ladder with ease

Couple move up the Essex property ladder with ease When househunters Darren and Debbie Westlake were on the look out for a brand new home, not only were they concerned with finding a property to suit their needs, but they also had the worry of selling their existing home, that was until they visited Persimmon Homes Essex’s Foresthall Park development in Stansted Mountfitchet.

The Westlakes admired the homes available at the development and after speaking with the sales adviser they found that the prospect of selling their own home would be easier than they first thought as Persimmon was offering its Part Exchange/Optimizer scheme.

Darren states: “We fell in love the five bedroom Jasmine design as it perfectly suited our requirements and our budget. When we found out we were eligible for the Part Exchange/Optimizer incentive, it removed a great deal of the hassle involved with the process as we knew our chosen housetype would be reserved while a buyer was found for our old home.”

Neil Sykes, sales director for Persimmon Homes Essex, explains the initiative: “Through the scheme we help purchasers like Darren and Debbie to find and appoint an independent estate agent, advises on the valuations and what price to market the property at. We then reserve the purchaser’s chosen housetype while their existing property is sold. What’s more we will also pay the estate agent’s fees.”

Debbie adds: “Without the support from Persimmon we don’t think we’d have been able to move into our brand new property so quickly, it helped to remove the worry of selling our own home as we found a buyer within two weeks, and also meant we were better off financially.”

Neil concludes: “All too often we hear stories of househunters who have lost out on their dream property because they couldn’t sell their current home. Our scheme has been designed to smooth the process, allowing purchasers, like the Westlakes to leave their old property in our capable hands so they can focus on the excitement of moving into a brand new home.”

Foresthall Park hosts a range of three, four and five bedroom homes, providing something to suit all househunters’ needs and requirements. Prices at the development start from £339,950 for a four bedroom design and part exchange is considered for all interested parties.

Foresthall Park includes a state of the art health centre and the planned relocation of St Mary’s Primary School as well as copious amounts of open space for residents to enjoy and there’s even a bridle way between the two phases.

Foresthall Park and Church View are located within easy reach of the M11 and Stansted Airport, making them ideal for commuters to Bishop’s Stortford, Colchester, Cambridge and London Liverpool Street via a 35 minute train journey from the village station, which is just a ten minute walk away.
