Investor snaps up 10 properties at Invito in Essex

Investor snaps up 10 properties at Invito in Essex Experienced local property investor Leslie Gilbert has purchased ten studio apartments at George Wimpey’s Invito development in Gants Hill, Essex – and he knows they make sound financial sense.

Leslie’s firm, Imperial Developments, has been snapping up good rental properties within the north-east M25 for the past 15 years, and the apartments at Invito were a perfect addition to the portfolio.

“These are homes in an excellent location,” explains Leslie, “I have confidence in George Wimpey’s construction standards and I think the potential rental yield will be substantial.”

With each home finished to a high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood, the homes Imperial Developments is purchasing will be ready for tenants to rent through Belvoir Lettings as soon as construction is completed later this year.

“There are a few other independent investors purchasing at Invito, but a couple of years ago, before the market changed, there would have been an awful lot more,” adds Leslie.

“What I can say though, is that even in this climate these properties are still a good investment.

“Now is a great time to ‘buy the market’ – but we’ll have no intention of selling our investment at Invito, even when the market has picked up again!”

With prices starting at £112,995 for a studio apartment at Invito, those with savings can swap low interest rates in the bank for a high rental return of £650 per month.

While providing the potential to receive excellent regular income in the short-term, landlords can also benefit from a longer-term opportunity to see capital growth on the value of their property.

Studios at Invito feature a light and airy living room/bedroom, separate kitchen fitted with contemporary units and a built-in oven, hob and hood, full bathroom and a storage closet.

One-bedroom apartments are also available priced from £124,995 and include a living room with semi open-plan kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom and a storage closet off the entrance hall.

Purchasers can also customise properties at Invito using the developer’s superb Options range – a beautiful selection of interior design features and fittings, including space-saving wardrobes, downlighters, and superb carpets and floorings.

Invito is ideally located in up-and-coming Gants Hill, with selected apartments enjoying panoramic, balcony views over city landmarks, including the London Eye, the Gherkin and the site of the 2012 Olympic village.

Gants Hill is a vibrant place to live, with stores, cafes, restaurants and bars close by, while Ilford, just two miles away, offers an excellent shopping centre. For leisure, Fairlop Waters in nearby Barkingside is an ideal place for a round of golf, wind-surfing, angling, sailing or horse riding.

The development is also just minutes from Gants Hill Underground Station, and only five stops from Stratford, ensuring purchasers are perfectly placed for Docklands, The City and for the 2012 Games.

Further information is available by visiting the Sales Centre, located off Bramley Crescent, Gants Hill and open Thursdays to Mondays from 10am to 6pm, and online at georgewimpey.co.uk.
