The clock is ticking for new homes in Tewkesbury

12th October 2009 Print
The clock is ticking for new homes in Tewkesbury Miller Homes is warning househunters to take action soon or miss out on the great opportunities currently available at The Meadows development in Tewkesbury.

Only three remaining properties are still available on the Government backed shared equity scheme, HomeBuy Direct, and purchasers only have until 24th December to reserve a property using the initiative.

Linda Androlia, regional sales director for Miller Homes, explains: “Under the scheme, buyers have the opportunity to purchase 100 percent of their home by paying just 70 percent of the value, with Miller Homes and the Government co-funding the remaining 30 percent. “

The 30 percent equity loan only becomes repayable after 25 years or when the customer sells their home, and because the scheme is government backed, buyers can feel completely secure in their investment. An additional benefit is that there is no interest payable on the equity loan for the first five years so the buyer doesn’t have the immediate worry of repayments.

One of the properties available on the scheme is plot 49 – a five bedroom detached home with garage in the London style, available for £249,950, or with HomeBuy Direct, from only £174,965.

On the ground floor, the spacious family home features a magnificent lounge extending the full length of the property from an elegant bay window at the front to French doors opening out to the rear garden. A kitchen/breakfast room with a second set of French doors and separate dining room offer the choice between casual and more formal entertainment, whilst providing the practical convenience needed with a busy family lifestyle.

Upstairs, the first floor features the master bedroom with dressing area and en-suite facilities plus a further two bedrooms and family bathroom. An additional two bedrooms on the second floor benefit from an extra shower room, so there should be no fights getting ready in the morning.

Linda added: “The Meadows offers the best of both worlds for families with busy lifestyles. Its quiet location provides a retreat from the stresses of modern life, whilst the great connectivity offered by the nearby M5 and local amenities mean that the development is an ideal commuter base.”

The Meadows features a range of three, four and five bedroom homes located within a short stroll of one of Britain’s most celebrated medieval town centres. Just minutes from the M5 and in easy commuting range of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Worcester, The Meadows combines the charm of its historic market-town setting with one of the most convenient locations in the heart of England.
