TV’s Phil Spencer offers expert advice in Swansea Well-known television presenter and property expert Phil Spencer spoke about the property market and shared his knowledge and experiences at a recent ‘Meet the Experts’ event, hosted by Barratt South Wales at its Copper Quarter development in Swansea.

Financial advisors, estate agents, solicitors and sales negotiators were on hand to offer help and information on purchasing a new home at Copper Quarter, where there is currently an excellent choice of one-bedroom iPad apartments, two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, all with parking.

Three riverside apartments were purchased on the day by first time buyers, two of whom took advantage of the housebuilder’s Dream Start incentive, enabling them to buy a new home with a 70 per cent mortgage, five per cent deposit and a 25 per cent interest-free deferred loan from Barratt. The third purchaser accepted Barratt’s offer to pay their five per cent deposit; this is a great incentive that is available not only to first time buyers, but to anyone wanting to move who may not have a deposit already saved.

Adrian Bird, sales director at Barratt South Wales, says: “The event was a tremendous success. It was a great opportunity to meet Phil Spencer who was delighted to chat to visitors and answer any questions they had about the property market.”

There are a variety of ways to buy at Copper Quarter with special incentives like Dream Start designed to help first time buyers onto the property ladder. For those with an existing home to sell, Barratt is currently offering to buy their old home through its popular Part Exchange scheme. This enables the purchaser to buy a new Barratt home, taking away the worry of being in a chain and the purchasers can even stay in their old home until the new one is ready. The purchaser saves money too, as there is no HIP to prepare or estate agency fees.

The development’s location, near The Liberty Stadium, has much to offer buyers, with attractive landscaped areas within the scheme and lovely river walks. Swansea city centre is only a short drive, or there is a Park and Ride bus station close to Copper Quarter with a regular bus service straight to the city centre. The train station at Swansea is around a mile from the development; Swansea Airport is around six and a half miles.

Prices for one-bedroom iPad apartments are from £89,995, two-bedroom apartments are from £141,995 and three-bedroom houses are from £154,995. The sales and marketing suite at Copper Quarter, Brunel Way, Swansea, West Glamorgan, SA1 7FF is open Sunday to Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 1pm to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
