A traditional Christmas at Fishmore Hall in Ludlow

Fishmore Hall located in the heart of the foodie hotpot of Ludlow would like to welcome guests to the Shropshire countryside to sample the Christmas delights in the town including the town’s Medieval Fayre and Fishmore Hall’s Christmas fayre.

With stunning views across the lush, British countryside, the hotel offers guests 15 intimate contemporary-styled bedrooms all with superb bathrooms. The hotel also features an award winning restaurant which prides itself on featuring seasonal, locally - sourced produce.

Leading up to Christmas, Fishmore Hall will be encouraging everyone to get into the festival spirit by hosting a Christmas fayre on Sunday 1st November. The fayre will begin at 12pm where guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of mulled wine before being able to browse a number of festive themed stalls, including Jewellery, Cards and Wrapping paper, Glassware and Molton Brown goodies, as well as seasonal goodies from Ludlow Food Centers including Christmas Puddings, Ludlow Hampers, Chocolate, Wine, Christmas Wreaths and many more.

The Ludlow community will be following Fishmore Hall in their seasonal celebrations at this year’s Medieval Christmas Fayre due to take place on 28th and 29th November. This see’s Ludlow doing what it does best, with a programme packed full of medieval activities and traditional medieval food tasting taking place at Ludlow castle.

From December Fishmore Hall will be offering sublime lunch and dinner menus prepared by the hotel’s head chef, David Jaram.

The hotel is also excited to be holding several ‘Join a Party’ nights throughout December. Music will be playing on through the night on Friday 4th, Thursday 10th Friday 18th December. In addition, Fishmore Hall will be accommodating parties with a three-course festive menu served in the restaurant. Tickets cost from £30 per person including coffee.

On Christmas Eve, Fishmore Hall will welcome and invite guests to spend afternoon tea and enjoy Christmas carols. A champagne reception will be held, followed by a candlelit Christmas Eve dinner, served in the hotel restaurant. Mulled wine will be offered to those guests on return from Midnight services. Christmas Day will begin with a full English buck’s fizz breakfast, followed by champagne and canapés at 12.30 in the lounge. A traditional five - course Christmas Luncheon will be served in the restaurant.

On Wednesday 30th December Fishmore Hall are proud to present ‘The Magic of Christmas’ event. Close-up magician Philip Ringland will amaze you with awe inspiring illusions. Tickets are £60 including a glass of champagne and canapés on arrival, followed be a three course dinner and coffee.

A Black Tie dinner and dancing event will be held to welcome in 2010 on Thursday 31st December. To celebrate New Year’s Eve, a candlelit six-course banquet will be hosted in the award winning restaurant, with the party beginning afterwards and entertainment until 1am. Tickets are £95 per person and include a champagne reception and canapés, six course dinner with coffee followed by dancing.

Fishmore Hall are offering packages for guests to stay over Christmas and New Year, starting from £315 per person for a two - night package, including full English breakfast, afternoon teas and dinner on each evening. Christmas Day lunch, dancing on New Year’s Eve and VAT is also included.
