Park Plaza Hotels in London are paying homage to the stars of the silver screen by introducing a blockbuster cocktail menu for the BFI London Film Festival 2009.

The five limited edition cocktails are a tribute to the world of film including some of Hollywood’s most inspiring actors and directors. The drinks are available throughout October, celebrating the famous festival from 14 to 29 October 2009.

A twist on every film-goers favourite snack, Toffee Popcorn Vodka is a cheeky mix of vodka, toffee liquor and apple juice, served with toffee popcorn in a martini glass.

Inspired by the famous directing duo, the Coen Cocktail is served in a rock glass on ice. This sharp mix of kahlua, vodka and lime is sure to have drinkers shouting “O barman, where art thou?”

Celebrating one the most influential women behind the camera, Jane Campion, the Jane Champagne is a fusion of kahlua and gran manier topped with champagne. This white and black layered combination commemorates her master-piece, The Piano.

The Bloody Murray is a variation of a popular cocktail classic, with tequila, tomato juice and tabasco, blended with a dash of angostura and topped with port wine. Named after the Groundhog Day actor Bill Murray, bar flies at Park Plaza Hotels will want to sample this sumptuous concoction again and again, and again.

Recognising the renowned Ocean’s Eleven Director, the Soderbergh Sour is a smooth blend of pisco, lime juice, sugar and a dash of angostura. Gently shaken and served on ice, this cocktail is as slick as any Soderbergh blockbuster.

All cocktails cost £6.95 and are available at Park Plaza County Hall London and Park Plaza Riverbank London, both ideally located on the South Bank, a short walk to the BFI, and the central hub of the Film Festival. The drinks are also available at Park Plaza Victoria London and Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes London.

Ingredients may vary slightly depending on location and the cocktails may be subject to availability.
