Wine, dine and then stay for free at award winning Cotswolds hotel

An historic inn which is situated in one of the most idyllic villages in the Cotswolds is offering guests an autumn treat in the shape of a trio of rooms which can be enjoyed for free when a three course dinner for two is booked in the award-winning restaurant.

The New Inn in Coln St Aldwyns, which dates from the 16th century, has allocated three out of its 13 rooms each evening between Sunday and Thursday which can be used at no cost when two guests make a dinner reservation.

An inviting menu makes the very most of seasonal, local produce and there are regular changes made by the head chef Oliver Addis, whose direction has seen the restaurant win its two red rosettes award.

Oliver began his career at The Lygon Arms, Broadway when it was part of the Savoy Group before heading off to Australia to broaden his knowledge and experience. On his return to the UK he worked at Eastwell Manor in Kent and progressed to South Lodge Hotel – a four red star hotel in Sussex. Oliver joined the New Inn from Fosse Manor where he was sous chef for two years.

Now the New Inn has just been given a place in the Good Food Guide for 2010 which is bound to add to its popularity as the perfect destination for a break in the Cotswolds.

Close to Cirencester, Burford and Bourton on the Water, the New Inn is easy to reach and only a two hour drive from London – a shorter time than when it was built at the time of Queen Elizabeth 1 when she decreed there should be a coaching inn within a day’s coach and horses drive of every major centre of population.
