Fiat’s new customer accident management programme

A comprehensive accident care service for all Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Fiat Professional new and used vehicle owners in Britain, has just been launched by Fiat Group Automobiles UK.

Called Accident AfterCare, the programme is provided free to all customers, and aims to increase the volume of vehicle crash repairs retained within the Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealer network, to ensure that customers receive a high quality experience, following an accident.

All customers – whether at fault or not – will receive a courtesy car during the bodyshop repair. The repair must be carried out at a Fiat Group approved bodyshop where genuine Fiat and Alfa Romeo parts are fitted.

Co-ordination of the programme is centrally managed. The process starts from the initial customer call – where they receive a personal account management service – through to the repaired vehicle being returned.

“Business and profit improvement, linked to improving customer satisfaction levels, are a priority,” says Rob Calver, Parts & Service Director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK. “I believe this is an excellent programme that will help ensure Fiat and Alfa Romeo customers receive a top quality bodyshop repair with the guaranteed fitting of genuine parts to maintain Euro NCAP crash safety standards.”

He added that dealers should benefit from improved customer contact, increased bodyshop repair volumes, higher crash parts sales, better repair terms, higher dealer profitability and an increase in car sales from write-offs and related induced sales.

All Fiat and Alfa Romeo new and used vehicle owners are eligible for free membership to the programme, irrespective of the age of their vehicle.  A dealer marketing campaign is underway to ensure that all owners are informed and enrolled.
