16th November 2009 Print

Vintage Travel – specialising, exclusively, in hand-picked houses with private pools in areas of local tradition and culture – has increased its offering on Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula by more than 25% for 2010.

An example of an addition to the programme is Campo – a newly built three bedroom (all with air-con), three bathroom house sleeping six which is situated in the traditional stone-built hamlet of Rakovci in central Istria.

Internal features include honey-coloured stone walls, bespoke oak dining table, oak flooring and a sauna, whilst outdoors there’s a kidney shaped pool – which can be heated – covered barbecue area, open and covered terraces and extensive lawns.

A week’s rental at the beginning of May costs £1750 rising to £2495 in peak season.

Also recently built and new to the programme is Brioni – a contemporary five bedroom, six bathroom house sleeping 10 situated within walking distance – 600m – of the beach near the village of Peroj and with views across the Adriatic towards the Brijuni Islands.

In addition to the private pool, there’s a summer kitchen, covered dining terrace, open terraces, gardens with lawn and most rooms have air-con.  A week’s rental costs £1695 at the beginning of April rising to £3750 in peak season.

Prices do not include return UK flights and car hire, but these can be arranged independently or by the company on request.
