Recommendations from friends helped Sue Mansell find her dream home and she is more than happy to spread the word.

Sue had lived in Newton Abbot in Devon, for more than 20 years.  Happy with the area she didn’t want to move away when her circumstances changed and was looking for another property.

Temporarily, after moving from her home in Kingsteignton, a part of Newton Abbot, she rented a property nearer the town before buying a new Redrow home at Orleigh Cross.

“I loved living in Newton Abbot and the Redrow venture is in the ideal position near the town, on a good bus route and within easy walking/travelling distances of nearby places,” said Sue, 60, who works for local government.

Sue sought advice from friends and colleagues about buying a brand new home and heard only positive things about Redrow.

“I also looked at new homes from other housebuilders and visited estate agents to view second hand homes but I was really well treated by the Redrow staff and kept in touch with them until I found the right property,” she said.

She fell in love with her new two-bedroom ‘coach house’ straight away

“It just suited me,” she said. “Once again I have my own entrance to my own little house and I love my new home.”

Mother of four and nana of four Sue was so eager to live in her dream home that she was the first to move into Orleigh Cross.

“I had looked at lots of second hand homes and a lot needed to be done to them and when you are on a budget it is not easy to tick all the boxes when searching. The only box I could not tick with my particular new home was a garden but Redrow had thought of that and there shall be a landscaped public area together with a children’s play area,” Sue said.

“With a new home you know that everything is clean and more importantly, safe.  I wanted to safeguard my investment and with the NHBC 10-year warranty I know that I have good cover.”

Following her positive experience she has been only too keen to spread the word.

Sue said: “Even before I moved in I recommended buying a new Redrow home at Orleigh Cross to a friend and she too is looking forward to moving in.”

With a selection of apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes, Orleigh Cross, Newton Abbot, has something to offer first-time buyers, downsizers, growing families and those making lifestyle changes.
