Britain’s longest established guided walking tour operator, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays is offering a 14 day, half-board tour to Northern India with its indescribable ‘mix’ of culture, traditions, architecture, national parks, flora and fauna.

The tour begins and ends in Delhi, India’s capital city, before taking the first of a number of railway journeys into Rajasthan to spend three nights in the Ranthambhore National Park. An ideal opportunity to see majestic ‘Big Cats’.

Next, it’s onto Bharatphur, into the Keolado National Park – one of the most important breeding and migratory regions on the globe.

The tour then takes in Fatehpur Sikri before reaching Agra and the awe inspiring Taj Mahal – one of the ‘new seven wonders of the world’. Then, south with its Hindu temples at Khajuraho.

Last leg of the journey is Varansi, ‘The City of Light’, where long flights of stone steps (ghats) descend into the sacred River Ganges.

Price from £1,987 per person includes return flights, transfers (including train journeys) half-board accommodation in three and four star hotels and the services of a tour leader.
