Barratt to launch Templars Gate in sought-after Baldock

Barratt North London is to launch an impressive collection of new homes in the sought-after town of Baldock, north Hertfordshire, on Saturday 28th November from 10am to 4pm. Templars Gate, located in Limekiln Lane, just a few minutes’ walk from the town’s Georgian High Street, is a stunning new development that will offer 18 four-bedroom detached houses.
The development, which has already seen sales of properties off plan, is expected to sell quickly due to its unique offering of detached family homes in a highly sought after area. A brand new show home will be opened for the launch so that potential purchasers can catch a glimpse of what life might be like to live at Templars Gate.
The historic town of Baldock was founded by the Knights Templar in the 1140s and Barratt’s Templars Gate development is located on the former site of the Convent of Providence, which vacated the premises in 2007.
Chris Scarborough, sales director at Barratt North London, says: “Our houses at Templars Gate will offer buyers a variety of external elevations and a choice of interior layouts, with both open-plan styles and more traditional designs. All the houses will have garages and gardens. The entire scheme has been designed around a beautiful 17-metre Copper Beech tree, a real focal point at Templar’s Gate.”
The striking four-bedroom houses are arranged over three storeys. The ground floor varies depending on the housetype, with some offering an open-plan kitchen, breakfast room and family room, along with a separate dining room and living room. Some of the properties boast a unique studio space separate to the property; ideal for a growing family or a home office. All master bedrooms have an en suite bath/shower room, the second bedrooms also have an en suite shower room, and a family bathroom serves the remaining two bedrooms. Some master bedrooms even include a unique dressing room.
Chris continues: “With so much interest in the development prior to the launch, we are expecting the homes here to sell quickly. Due to its close proximity to excellent schools, commutability to London and unique offering of four bedroom detached houses in the area, Templars Gate ticks all the boxes. Those interested in buying a home here should visit us on Saturday in order to avoid later disappointment.”
Baldock town has recently had a multi-million pound enhancement, including improvements to its pretty High Street. The town has a good choice of shops, bars, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Families will find plenty of schools in the area, including St John’s RC Primary School practically opposite Barratt’s development, and the Knights Templar secondary school around half a mile away, which received an ‘Outstanding’ grade from OFSTED this year. For commuters, Baldock railway station is a mile from Templars Gate, with fast trains to London Kings Cross taking around 40 minutes. Luton and Stansted Airports are within a 45-minute drive.
Prices for the four-bedroom homes at Templars Gate, Limekiln Lane, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6PG are expected to start from £425,000.
