Campanile releases 1000 £1 hotel rooms across the UK

Due to an overwhelming response to Campanile Hotels’ recession-busting 10,000 rooms at £1 campaign launched last Sunday (15th November), the budget hotel chain will this weekend release a further 1000 £1 rooms at selected UK hotels.

A staggering 98 per cent of the initial allocation of £1 room sold out in just four days following a national advertising campaign inviting people to stay at one of the company’s 19 UK hotels for just £1 per night in December and January.

“The campaign has given customers a terrific opportunity to take a £1 break over the Christmas and early New Year periods whether, to visit family and friends or just have a complete get away,” explained Campanile’s operations director, David Anderson.

“Clearly people have a very keen eye for a bargain this year and we look forward to welcoming many new users to our hotels over the coming weeks.”

The selected Campanile hotels offering more rooms for £1 in from 1 December 2009 to 31 January 2010 are at Basildon, Bradford, Coventry North, Doncaster, Hull, Northampton, Redditch, Runcorn, Swindon, and Wakefield.

Bookings can be made from this Sunday (22nd November) online at campanile.com, or by contacting the hotels direct.

Campanile’s hotels are designed to appeal to both business and leisure guests with its new and comfortable bedding and the free wifi in all bedrooms. Moreover, an innovative new build and refurbishment programme called “Campanile New Generation” is going to be deployed presenting an ultra-modern and contemporary style across its bedrooms, restaurants and bars.

“Campanile’s ‘new look’ marks a real departure from the traditional budget hotel concept and will appeal to business and leisure travellers looking for quality accommodation at easily affordable prices,” explains Anderson.

“Our £1 offer was designed to encourage potential guests to try for themselves the modern budget hotel experience over a busy social period when it could be most useful to them.”
