Flexible living solutions for families in Filton

Families in Filton, north Bristol, will have room to grow if they choose to invest in their future with a fabulous new Redrow home.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ October housing market survey* found that while new build properties in the south west were selling well, a shortage of supply was limiting activity.

Philippa Groves, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West) said: “Surveyors in Bristol reported that the market was active in October but found that a limited supply of property was leading to steady price increases. And with leading mortgage lenders Halifax and Nationwide** both reporting consecutive monthly price increases buyers with families may think they can’t afford to buy a new home.”

She added: “But as the market begins to show signs of recovery now could be just the right time to invest in your family’s future by buying a new Redrow home at Tallsticks.”

Tallsticks is the first hamlet to be built at Redrow’s Cheswick ‘urban village’ development.

Cheswick will compromise a carefully blended mix of contemporary apartments, terraced homes, detached properties and three-storey villas.

“Located in leafy surroundings a short journey from Bristol city centre, Cheswick will, in the future, boast shops, places to eat and all of the other local amenities of an established residential neighbourhood. Those who invest in a new home now will have a key role in helping shape the developing community,” Philippa commented.

Homes currently available include the four-bedroom ‘Caxton’ house type, priced from £259,995.

“Designed with modern family living in mind, the ‘Caxton’ offers generously proportioned flexible accommodation over three floors.

“The open plan kitchen-dining room and family room on the ground floor provide the perfect place for spending quality time with loved ones; while the living room on the first floor offers a spacious retreat to relax in” says Philippa.

The master bedroom, on the first floor, is complete with the modern day essential en-suite, while the family bathroom is on the top floor along with the remaining three bedrooms.

“Investing in a brand new home could potentially save you time and money, as unlike some older properties it won’t need expensive repairs and renovations before you can move in. It means you can enjoy your new surroundings as a family instead of joining the crowds of people at the local DIY superstore,” Philippa said.

“And because our new homes are built to modern energy efficient standards, there’s potential to save money on bills while also helping the environment.”
