Tune in to Porsche Experience TV

Porsche TV

Porsche Experience TV is a new, unique concept developed by Porsche Cars GB that provides fans of the Stuttgart marque with high quality web-streamed films showcasing Porsche cars from past and present.

Visitors to porsche.co.uk/experience can view a selection of classic Porsche sports cars being put through their paces around the world-class track facility at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone. In a series of videos, Gordon Robertson, Chief Porsche Driving Consultant, tests the cars around the handling circuit and fully explores their heritage and, of course, performance.

The most recent film describes the iconic 1973 911 2.7 RS, and joins existing features on a 1980s 911 Carrera, a Type 993 911 from 1994, a current Type 997 911 Carrera and the latest 911 GT3. The Porsche Panamera Turbo is also demonstrated, and it is intended that further films will soon be uploaded. Future candidates for a Porsche Experience TV debut include the 550 Spyder from the 1950s, the forerunner of the present day Boxster roadster.

In addition to Porsche Experience TV, Porsche now has its own channel on YouTube, hosting a wide variety of short video pieces. Here you can find footage of everything from the Boxster to the 911 GT2, but as you might expect from a company with a history as illustrious as that of Porsche, some of the clips depicting historic cars stand out. These include: the ‘Porsche Family Gathering’ video that shows a remarkable collection of historic Porsche racing cars, and Jacky Ickx’s 1977 Le Mans qualifying lap in the famous Martini-liveried 936.

It is also possible to see the current model range in a new light; one clip in particular, titled ‘Porsche Leipzig: Co-Pilot 911 GT2’ presents some stunning displays of car control in a variety of cars including a Cayenne Turbo, and the ‘Extreme Truth’ film of the new 911 GT3 RS is equally awe-inspiring.
