Chatham Honda cleans up with 12 Jazz for Spotless

Chatham Honda in Edinburgh has sparkled by clinching a 12-vehicle fleet deal with a nationwide cleaning company based in the city.
Spotless Commercial Cleaning Ltd has signed up for a dozen of the critically acclaimed Honda Jazz supermini. Each is a 1.2-litre S model in classic black, and has been finished with bespoke sign-writing promoting the firm.
Dougie Whitehead, Chatham Honda’s corporate sales manager, explained the deal was a long time coming – but patience and determination had paid off.
“We negotiated to supply Spotless with the Honda Jazz three years ago but were unsuccessful. We stored its details on our database and kept in touch, knowing it would be changing vehicles at some point.”
Dougie said he made another approach in April, and after an extensive test drive programme and various meetings, the deal was done.
He added: “The moral of this story is perseverance pays off. It may take a week or a few years, but keeping in touch with the potential customers is key to success in business.”
Roger Green is founder and CEO of Spotless, which specialises in office and industrial cleaning contracts. Commenting on the deal, he said: “The Honda Jazz was originally shortlisted on account of its reputation for reliability. A few of our drivers tested it and gave positive feedback. The real clincher was Chathams’ friendly and positive approach and a strong willingness to do business.”
