BitDefender recognised for performance in malware detection
BitDefender Antivirus 2010 has received the top certification level from AV-Comparatives for its ability to detect malware in infected PCs while providing a low false positive rate.
BitDefender’s head of antimalware lab, Viorel Canja said “BitDefender is extremely happy that Antivirus 2010 has received Advanced+ Certification in malware detection while providing the lowest false positive rate out of all tested products. Out of the eight products that received the Advanced+ rating, four employ BitDefender technology, further proving our commitment to malware detection.”
AV-Comparatives tested sixteen antivirus products for performance. Products were classified under a four-level ranking system ranging from Tested to Standard, Advanced and Advanced+. The results were published in November 2009.
