HPI boosts Marshall Group fundraising drive

8th December 2009 Print

HPI has joined forces with Marshall Motor Group to help raise a considerable amount of money for the Prince’s Trust.  For over 6 months HPI pledged its support for long-running customer Marshall by donating 50p for every Driveaway policy signed up through the Marshall dealer network, helping it smash an overall fundraising target of £100,000.

Marshall Motor Group is celebrating its centenary year this year and has been raising funds to support The Prince’s Trust Business Programme, which offers loans to young people starting out in their own businesses.

HPI’s free 7-day Driveaway insurance offering, which brings benefits for dealers and consumers alike, has been a huge success since it was brought to market 5 years ago and HPI’s donation from policies further illustrates HPI’s strong commitment to its relationship with Marshall.

“We were delighted to be able to help Marshall achieve their goal”, states Daniel Burgess, Automotive Director of HPI. “Our Driveaway product was revolutionary when launched 5 years ago and we are thrilled that we are still finding flexible and innovative ways to both drive business and help a worthy charity.”

Recently HPI Driveaway has been enhanced by the new “Web & Call” contact method which increases efficiency and significantly reduces a customers “talk time” with the call centre.

Christopher Walkinshaw, Business Development Director of Marshall Motor Group comments, “In our 100th year, we wanted to ensure we gave something back, as well as celebrating the success of the business. That’s why we pledged to raise a significant sum for The Prince’s Trust, a very relevant and worthwhile cause.  However, it would not have been possible to smash our target without the help of valued partners such as HPI, whose generous contribution has ensured that we can really make a difference.”

“We have a long-standing relationship with Marshall and it’s great to be able to support them in raising funds for such an important charity,” explains Daniel Burgess, Director of Automotive at HPI.   By giving a little through each Driveaway policy between March and September we managed to pledge a large amount of money to the Marshall total. We are delighted to work alongside Marshall to show our support for the valuable work the Prince’s Trust does.”
