It’s award season at Miller Homes
Miller Homes, a leading independent UK housebuilder has scooped a series of housing industry awards in recent weeks.
Site managers from Miller Homes across the UK scooped a total of 19 National House Building Council (NHBC) ‘Pride in the Job’ awards from which six went on to be presented with a ‘Seal of Excellence’ Award and two, Bill Hughes in the North West and Gary Mannion in Scotland West, have gone on to become regional winners. Both the Miller Homes’ regional winners will now compete at the national Supreme awards in London in January.
The ‘Pride in the Job’ awards identify outstanding site managers, based on strict judging criteria which scores 38 different categories, including leadership skills, technical expertise, health and safety and quality of workmanship on site. The ‘Seal of Excellence’ is awarded to outstanding regional winners of ‘Pride in the Job’ Awards.
Miller Homes also recently won the silver award in the Best Large Housebuilder category at the What House awards. The award was won in recognition of the company’s positive communications, such as the TV advertising campaign, The Optimist, and its commitment to providing affordable housing with its support of the Government’s Home Buy Direct Initiative and its own shared equity scheme MiWay for first time buyers.
Finally, Miller Homes also won the Housebuilding Innovation Award for Best Zero Carbon Initiative for its Miller Zero project in Basingstoke.
