New homes offer more choices for buyers in Dalkeith
House hunters in Dalkeith, Midlothian, will soon have more to choose from with the forthcoming introduction of new Redrow homes. The launch of the award-winning housebuilder’s latest venture, Pear Tree Park, is scheduled for January.
Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) said: “Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors* in Scotland have linked rising house prices to a lack of available stock and have also reported that with the market now showing signs of recovery; demand from potential purchasers has also increased.
“Pear Tree Park will be a welcome addition to the Dalkeith housing stock, eventually providing around 70 new homes approximately seven miles from Edinburgh.”
She added: “Prospective purchasers should register now if they want to have the pick of the first plots.”
Among the properties going on sale in January will be a selection of two and three-bedroom semis and four-bedroom detached homes. They’ll feature Redrow’s latest interior specification with contemporary kitchen choices, top brand name appliances and beautiful bathrooms boasting quality fixtures and fittings.
“The carefully blended choice of properties means there’s something to suit just about everyone from downsizers looking for a modern, more manageable home and first time buyers stepping on to the property ladder, to those with families in need of some extra living space,” Diana commented.
Located off Lauder Road, Pear Tree Park is accessible by the A68 Dalkeith Northern Bypass, a route which connects the A68 to the south of the town to a new junction on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass.
The planned reopening of the Waverley Railway line linking Edinburgh through Midlothian to the Scottish Borders will also pass relatively close by, with good transport links planned between Dalkeith and proposed stations at Shawfair, Eskbank, Newtongrange and Gorebridge. This line is expected to be operational by 2013.
