Trustee PensionsConnection launched

10th December 2009 Print

The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has launched Trustee PensionsConnection, a new service specifically designed to help pension scheme trustees meet the demands of running their scheme on behalf of millions of people saving for retirement.

Speaking at the launch of Trustee PensionsConnection at the NAPF's Trustee Conference in London, Chief Executive, Joanne Segars said: "Volatile investment markets, cash strapped employers and increased expectations from regulators have added further challenges to the pivotal role of pension scheme trustees.

"Our new service is dedicated to helping trustees carry out their role as guardians of the retirement provision of millions and will play an important part in the NAPF's work on improving standards."

The new service, free and exclusive to NAPF members, will give trustees direct access to the latest developments and thinking on pensions.  Membership benefits include:-

A specialist website - including online polls, surveys, presentations and a discussion forum.

Invitations to regular speaker evenings and breakfast meetings with key industry speakers.

Quarterly newsletters - featuring latest news, views and interviews.

Free subscriptions to NAPFnews and PolicyWatch, the NAPF's fortnightly pensions e-newsletter.

A free place for pension fund trustees at the NAPF Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Trustee PensionsConnection is the latest service from the NAPF which also supports HR professionals and finance directors, those running DC schemes and those involved in local authority schemes through the information service.  Members can join any of the PensionsConnection services, at napf.co.uk/PensionsConnection.
