Santander Zero wins top European Award
Santander Zero has won Best European Credit Card in the Service Category at the 2009 Oscards. The awards, which took place last night in Paris, aim to promote cards as modern and innovative forms of payment and recognise and reward excellence within the industry.
Now in their fourth year, the Oscards are a recognised and highly respected European industry award, attracting entries from across the European region. From an initial entry list of 500 innovative cards, just 64 cards across five categories made the final shortlist, with Santander Zero seeing off some stiff competition to win Best European Credit Card in the Service Category.
Emma Roberts, Director of Santander Cards, said: "Winning this award is a great privilege and I am delighted that Zero has been recognised in this way. In such a tough category, with entries from across Europe and under the scrutiny of our industry peers, it is a great achievement that Zero continues to lead the way.
"Santander Cards has always been an innovator, leading the way with award winning cards. We have proved that a simple fee free card really can offer users the high level of service they demand whilst still maintaining the features and quality they expect."
