Show homes are still the most important factor when choosing a new home, according to research by award winning house builder Redrow.

So news of two new show homes opening at Cressington Heath, in South Liverpool, this weekend (January 16/17) is a major plus for potential purchasers.

The two professionally designed and decorated, fully furnished properties combine traditional looking exteriors, evocative of years gone by, with a contemporary interior specification that’s perfect for modern lifestyles.

Only three-and-a-half miles from Liverpool city centre, they promote the latest phase at Cressington Heath, near Garston, which features a new collection of three and four-bedroom detached family homes.

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “On-line research by Redrow showed that well over half of would-be home owners consider a fully furnished show home to be the most important marketing tool in making their decision. So with two new properties to view at Cressington Heath they’ll be spoilt for choice.

“It’s also the chance for them to get a sneak preview of our New Heritage Collection before it’s officially launched.”

The two new show homes have been designed to reflect the lifestyles of different types of purchaser, including a young family or professional couple with fashionable tastes and an older family or couple downsizing who want to create an air of sophistication.

Emmeline Stevens, from interior company Jane Clayton, explained: “The ‘Stratford’ four-bedroom detached home has been designed for young families, couples upgrading and professionals. For this younger, ‘trendier’ market we’ve created an upmarket, contemporary, stylish and luxurious feel without the designer price tag.

“Current fashion trends have inspired the use of colour here by mixing subtle chic with bold brights. Kept quite classy and glamorous, this house radiates style with its charcoal grey textures, silky metallics and bold flash of yellow. The diamante studded headboard in the master bedroom is a fine example of glamour, while the ‘Transformers’ themed boy’s room is a little man's dream!”

The second show home at Cressington Heath is a three-bedroom ‘Warwick’ design, which has been styled to reflect a different type of purchaser – possibly an older family or a couple downsizing.

Emmeline continued: “We’ve imagined home owners who are confident in their use of colour and bored with creams and neutrals, so we’ve used sumptuous shades of teal, raspberry and plum. The bright colours mixed with the ‘grown up’ dark furniture create an air of sophistication.

“With plenty of space in the open plan kitchen / dining room, this house is ideal for social entertaining and dinner parties. The girl’s room is also a talking point with lovely white furniture and a girly pink theme styled beautifully.”

These new show homes are sure to give customers plenty of ideas for their own new home as well as an insight into Redrow’s latest housing designs.

New Heritage Collection homes at Cressington Heath are currently priced from £158,995. There are also some remaining three-bedroom townhouses with contemporary elevations from £186,995.

Visitors to the show home opening weekend will also be able to get mortgage advice from a financial adviser and find out how ‘Mastermove’ could help those with an existing property to sell. Redrow will arrange valuations, appoint an estate agent, organise the Home Information Pack and pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.

To find out more, join Redrow at Cressington Heath, off Garston Way, on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th January, between 10am and 5.30pm, or go to redrow.co.uk.
