Sheilas’ Wheels launches travel insurance
The female-focused Sheilas' Wheels brand will extend its product range once again with the launch of travel insurance that aims to deliver comprehensive, quality cover with some additional features.
Following the success of both Sheilas' Wheels car and home insurance, this competitively-priced product - which is also available for men to buy - has standard features and optional policy enhancements that should resonate strongly with women and their families.
The benefits of Sheilas' Wheels travel insurance include:
‘Handbag on holiday' cover: Included as standard within the policy's baggage cover, if a bag is physically snatched from a policyholder they won't be charged an excess when making a claim.
‘Kids go free' on all family policies - including single parent policies: Both single and two-parent families can add up to six children onto their policy at no additional charge.
Sheilas' Wheels Holiday Hotline accessible 24/7: Policyholders can call for assistance in emergency situations (e.g. for basic triage for health-related issues such as sunstroke) or advice before or whilst on holiday about their destination, including vaccination recommendations and general information on the local currency or safety of the drinking water.
‘Travel Bag top-up' option: Aimed at those taking an extended trip or holidaymakers who pack a more substantial sum of valuables, outfits and accessories, gadgets or equipment in their luggage, there is the option to pay for a higher baggage limit - upped from the standard £1500 to £2500.
Wedding cover add-on: For an extra £30 per couple on an annual multi-trip or single trip policy, policyholders looking to tie the knot whilst on holiday can have additional cover for their big day. This includes per person limits of £500 for wedding rings, £1000 for wedding gifts, £1500 for wedding outfits and £750 for wedding photography and videos.
‘By your side pledge': Being hospitalised on holiday can be daunting, particularly if there is the added anxiety of potentially being alone whilst recovering from an injury or illness in a foreign country. Sheilas' Wheels will look to ensure that a travel companion stays to support you during this recovery period if recommended on medical advice, covering additional accommodation and travel expenses.
10 per cent online discount: Customers can save 10 per cent by buying their policy online at sheilaswheels.com right up until the last minute before they travel.
Jacky Brown, spokeswoman for Sheilas' Wheels travel insurance, said: "Traditional travel insurance cover has until now remained unisex in its offerings but Sheilas' Wheels travel insurance looks to target the savvy, female holidaymaker. This is a serious product in the wrappings of an innovative female-focused brand with features that should appeal to the needs and priorities of today's modern woman - whether they're single, a wife, a partner or have a family."
"Travel insurance policies can vary considerably in terms of the levels of cover offered, maximum limits, exclusions and overall cost. Whilst a no-frills travel insurance policy could leave you high and dry when you and your family need it the most, opting for a comprehensive and more tailored policy will give you added peace of mind - especially when on foreign soil."
