The most depressed day of the year is quickly approaching: based on several factors, including weather, time passed since Christmas and debt levels, 25 January – ‘Blue Monday’ – is officially Britain’s bleakest day of the year.

Park Plaza County Hall, a four-star deluxe hotel in London, is digging Britain out from the depths of depression with its anti Blue Monday package, which includes complimentary wine and pudding – Britain’s favourite pick-me-ups. The package is available to any guests staying in a swish, spacious studio room between 23 and 25 January 2010.

For those really down in the dumps, perk up with the ultimate indulgence at the in-house spa treatment room, Aurora.  Whether you fancy an organic manicure, an aromatherapy massage or a fabulous facial, Aurora’s spa therapists will pamper you to perfection.

The package, which starts from £150 (excluding VAT) includes accommodation for two in a studio room, one complimentary bottle of wine, complimentary pudding for two and breakfast for two.  The package is valid 23-25 January 2010 only.

Located within walking distance of the capital’s most famous attractions, including the London Eye, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, the London Aquarium, National Theatre and the South Bank Centre, Park Plaza County Hall is perfectly located for a weekend in the capital.

Park Plaza County Hall is located at 1 Addington St, London SE1 7RY. For reservations and further information visit parkplazacountyhall.com.
