The region’s leading housebuilder is opening more of its developments seven days a week in order to meet growing demand.

No less than seven David Wilson East Midlands developments are now open every day and these new opening hours come after the Group launched a brand new sales hotline to cope with increasing numbers of telephone enquiries across the country.

Philip Lacey, Sales Director at David Wilson, comments “We’re finding that increasing numbers of purchasers want to visit our developments during the week rather than at weekends, so in order to satisfy our customer’s needs, we’re now opening more of our developments seven days a week.

“As a company, we pride ourselves on our customer service and this new sales hotline aims to be a one stop shop that can answer any questions purchasers may have about a specific development. It is available daily from 8am to 9pm, giving our customers more opportunity to get in touch.

“And despite the recent bad weather, sales activity has remained at a high rate and increased website enquiries have led to even more leads being passed onto the respective sales offices.”

David Wilson East Midlands also has plenty to look forward to in 2010 with the launch of a brand new scheme in Hucknall, near Nottingham as well as new phases at its flagship Castle Heights development in Church Gresley and Meadow Grange development in Barrow Upon Soar.

Philip adds “We’re also busy planning the launch of new developments and phases as well as seeking new land opportunities which demonstrates our confidence in the local housing market.

“There is undoubtedly demand for new homes throughout the region as people’s confidence begins to return and they realise that now could be a very good time to buy. Prices and mortgage rates are significantly lower than they were two years ago and there is a wide range of assistance offered by developers.”

However, Philip warned that the scarcity of mortgage finance was still holding back sales.

He adds “However, there’s a big difference between the numbers of visitors who are seriously interested in buying, and those who can actually buy. The main reason for this is the difficulty they currently have obtaining a mortgage.

“While we can provide our buyers with financial incentives to help them get a mortgage, we really need lending to return to more normal levels.

David Wilson East Midlands was given a four star rating in last year’s HBF Customer Satisfaction Survey, in which consumers are asked if they are satisfied with the quality of their new home and whether they would recommend their builder to a friend.

For added piece of mind, buyers can also benefit from David Wilson’s new five year guarantee on fixtures and fittings in their new home at the time of purchase. Items covered at no extra cost to the buyer will include appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, kitchen units, wardrobes, the central heating system, fires, doors, windows, drainage, the hot and cold plumbing system and even the driveway.

David Wilson currently has a number of developments on offer throughout the East Midlands. For more information log onto the website at dwh.co.uk.
