Champagne Weekend at Amelia Court in Worthing
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th February, retirement developer McCarthy & Stone will be giving people in Worthing an opportunity to have a sneak preview of its new Assisted Living development Amelia Court on Union Place ahead of the grand opening at the beginning of March.
Over the two day event, Amelia Court will be open to anyone interested in finding out what an Assisted Living development has to offer. Visitors can pop into the development anytime between 11.00am and 4.00pm to take a look around the fully furnished show complex and then relax in the residents’ lounge with a glass of champagne and nibbles! Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the estate manager and staff at Amelia Court.
Wendy Slingo, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South East, comments: “We are delighted to be able to offer people in Worthing the opportunity to have a VIP preview of our Amelia Court development ahead of the official opening in March and we hope anyone interested in Assisted Living for either themselves, or their parents, will come and have a look around.
“Until recently, people having problems with daily living have had no choice other than to move in with family or into residential care or a nursing home, which can be stressful and a financial strain. Our Assisted Living development in Worthing provides an alternative by bridging the gap between conventional retirement living developments and residential care.”
Beautifully decorated throughout, the one and two bedroom apartments at Amelia Court benefit from a number of special design features including 24-hour emergency Careline call points, electrical sockets at a raised height, security entry systems, a level access shower and separate bath with grab rails, slip resistant vinyl flooring and an electrically operated kitchen window.
An estates manager, 24-hour on-site staff, a waitress service restaurant offering a three course meal everyday of the year, a residents’ lounge, a function room, a guest suite for visiting family and friends, lifts to all floors and a laundry room are also located at the development.
Furthermore, residents can benefit from an hour of domestic assistance each week as part of their service charge, whether that’s help with chores or getting the weekly shop in, and a personal care plan can be put in place so that nursing professionals can come into the development as much as is required by the resident.
