Freedom breaks in the South Downs

28th January 2010 Print

Kids go free is the great deal this February half-term on selected ‘Freedom Breaks’ – an ideal countryside escape for independent families – courtesy of HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking and leisure activity holidays company.

Available at Abingworth Hall Country House – which is set beside its own lake amid eight acres of parkland in the South Downs – this offer means that up to two children (up to 17 years of age and sharing with parents) can stay free of charge.

A two-night weekend break starting 19 February, for example, costs £158 per person, based on two sharing.  Alternatively three nights commencing 19th are £209, whilst a two-night stay starting 20th is £153.

Prices include full-board accommodation, full use of all house facilities and an OS Explorer map of the local area together with a guide listing local attractions and activities.

A choice of walks on the downs and through woodland and meadows are available, whilst Brighton, Hove and Worthing are only a short drive away. In addition, Arundel Castle, Amberley working museum and National Trust properties such as Wakehurst Place and Nyans House & Gardens are within easy reach.
