Barclays unveil new design for Barclays.co.uk website
The site has had a full makeover with clearer screens, simpler navigation and new features. The new look is in line with the same theme and design used on the online banking site relaunched in July last year.
The new website has undergone extensive usability testing to ensure it is easy and simple to use. Acting on customer feedback, the site aims to help visitors find the information and services they are looking for as easily as possible.
Sean Gilchrist, Barclays Digital Banking Director said: "Barclays.co.uk has an average of 600,000 visitors every day and it is therefore vital that the site provides information that is relevant and easy to find. The re-design follows on from the online banking relaunch earlier this year which has been really well received by customers who appreciate the clutter-free layout and polished clear design.
"We've also added new content with an expanded help section providing information on topics such as taking out a mortgage or understanding interest rates, which can help customers manage their money better."
Barclays is the only UK bank to offer a specific .mobi domain site which was launched in 2009. The service enables customers to view their account balance and ‘at a glance' statements, make transfers between accounts and make payments outside of the bank. In addition, they can find branches and ATMs, get answers to banking questions, view product offers and get support through the online banking helpdesk.
