Own 100% of your home for 85% of the price in New Farnely

The Forge

Potential buyers at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire’s The Forge development in New Farnley, Leeds, have the chance to own a brand new two bedroom apartment for just £97,746 with the housebuilder’s shared equity scheme.

Buyers will own 100% of their home but pay only 85% of the price – with only a 5% deposit necessary.

The deal is available for a limited time on a ground floor, two bedroom Concerto apartment, which is normally priced at £114,995. The Concerto has a kitchen with spacious dining area, lounge, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Additional features include two storage cupboards, an allocated parking space.

With this package, the buyer pays a 5% deposit and then secures a mortgage on 80% of the property price, leaving Taylor Wimpey to step in and provide a rent and interest-free loan on the remaining 15% of the purchase price for up to ten years.

Bev Russell, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “The purchaser owns 100% of the property from day one. They can make payments during the 10 year period to suit their individual circumstances – this could mean up to three smaller payments, repaying the total amount early or waiting until the end of the period. We believe that this is just the sort of simple and effective scheme that buyers are looking for at the moment.”

The Forge enjoys the best of both worlds - a peaceful residential backdrop and the cosmopolitan attractions of Leeds right on the doorstep. It is also ideal for commuters, because it is in a great location for bus routes, and is within easy access to the M1, M62 and M621 and Leeds and Bradford airport. Leeds City train station is also close at hand.

For more information about The Forge, visit the sales information centre and show homes on Whitehall Road, New Farnley, Leeds, which is open Thursday to Monday, from 11am to 5pm.
