Cotswold walking holidays

HF Holidays has introduced more half-day walking options – which take place on selected dates at a choice of its UK Country Houses – into its 2010 Guided Walking programme.

Covering less than 4½ miles and finishing after a picnic lunch - with afternoons free for relaxing or exploring independently - these leisurely morning walks are ideal for those holidaying with friends or family wishing to join in more demanding walks.

For example, at Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds half-day walks are offered on selected three, four and seven night breaks between May and September.

Highlights include walking along part of the Cotswold Way to Broadway and visits to Chedworth Roman Villa and Sudeley Castle on the approach to Winchcombe.

Seven night holidays – starting 22 May, 26 June, 24 July, 14 August and 25 September – cost £649 per person, with a four-night break £419.

Alternatively, three nights commencing Wednesdays – 26 May, 30 June, 28 July, 18 August and 29 September – are £239.

These twin-share prices include full-board accommodation at Harrington House, the full programme of guided walks and social activities, transport to and from the walks and the services of an HF Holidays’ walking guide.
