Kids learn to scuba dive at Camp Beaumont

18th February 2010 Print

Camp Beaumont, the original summer camp for children and teenagers, has introduced a brand new PADI Junior Scuba Diver course for 2010. Perfect for water sports enthusiasts and children who want to learn to dive, this course will enable youngsters to get to grips with some scuba basics and is the newest addition to Camp Beaumont’s mix of adventurous activities.

This course combines professional PADI dive tuition (at a supplement of £189) with a Multi-Activity holiday (costing from £479 per child per week), during July and August, featuring exhilarating adventure activities like abseiling, climbing, quad biking and much more.

The scuba diving course is designed for kids to get to grips with diving essentials such as equipment set-up and safety, snorkelling, mask clearing and de-kitting underwater. Children work towards completing the referral certificate for the PADI Junior Open Water course. Once the course has been completed, children will be able to carry on to the final stage of their qualification at their local PADI school, with their four final open water dives, prior to full qualification. The course is aimed at 10-17 year olds and is available at both the Pinewood Sands camp, North Norfolk and Grosvenor Hall in Ashford, Kent.
