An unforgettable Easter break at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel

19th February 2010 Print

Fine food and fine wines, plus an especially indulgent Chocolate Afternoon Tea are combined with springtime lakeside walks to make an unforgettable Easter break at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel.

Special two-night breaks – either 2nd and 3rd or 3rd and 4th April – include accommodation with breakfast, the Chocolate Afternoon Tea and a special Spring Gourmet dinner on the Saturday , a five-course evening meal on the other evening and a ‘Treasure Hunt’ on Sunday morning.

Just to whet the appetite, the special afternoon tea includes homemade chocolate gateau, strawberries with warm chocolate dip, white chocolate shortbread and mini eggs, plus dainty sandwiches and a beverage of choice…including hot chocolate.

This four-star country house hotel is set between lake and mountains on a 24,000 acre estate just over the border in Powys.  The estate is crossed by miles of footpaths - ideal for walking off any over-indulgences - or visitors can indulge themselves further in the Spa and Thermal Centre.

Prices per couple start at £390 for a Garden View room, rising to £520 for a Premier Lake View room with balcony.  Optional extras include a bottle of Grand Cru champagne in the room on arrival (£36), a glass of champagne apiece at breakfast (£16), a mud rasul treatment for two in the Spa (£60) or an introduction to clay pigeon shooting (£40).
