Scoring goals won’t be the only thing that impresses fans of Olton Ravens Youth Football Club as the players have a new away kit fit for the premiership, courtesy of retirement specialist McCarthy & Stone.

After hearing that the team was struggling to afford an away kit for the 12-15 year olds McCarthy & Stone, which is building new homes across the Midlands, stepped in with a donation of £320 to buy new kits.

Keith Hinks, coach and manager of the Olton Ravens Youth FC, said: “We’d like to say a huge thanks to McCarthy & Stone for their generous donation. New kit is very expensive and as most of the players are still in full time education, would have taken us a while to save up for! This fantastic contribution has given the team a real confidence boost for their away games and the players can’t wait to show the kit off to their supporters.”

Mark Bullock, site manager at Awdry Court, added: “McCarthy & Stone is always looking to support the communities in which we are building and we’re delighted to have been able to help Olton Ravens Youth FC. We’re hoping that they’ll soon be topping the local junior football league while playing in their new kits!”

McCarthy & Stone is currently building a selection of one and two bedroom apartments at developments in Birmingham. For further information on Gracewell Court in Hall Green, Lorne Court in Moseley, or Awdry Court in Kings Norton, pop into the sales offices or log onto mccarthyandstone.co.uk.
