Coopers Edge proves a hit with locals and newcomers

24th February 2010 Print

New home buyers looking to settle in Gloucestershire are in for a treat – thanks to the successful launch of a stunning new development from David Wilson Homes.

Coopers Edge, in Brockworth, is an exclusive site offering just 43 two, three and four bedroom homes. And – with the brand new four bedroom Jesmond showhome already proving to be the centre of attention – sales director, Bernice McKenna, is expecting interest to continue to rise over the coming weeks.

“Coopers Edge is one of the region’s most exciting destinations for homes, jobs and leisure. I’m expecting this development to be highly sought after by locals and by those wishing to relocate here,” said Bernice.

Coopers Edge has the stunning backdrop of Nut Hill – right at the foot of the Cotswolds. Close by are popular primary and secondary schools – and the nearby thriving business park offers locally based employment opportunities with 25 leading companies.

“The rural surroundings are stunning,” said Bernice. “And the M5 between Gloucester and Cheltenham is very close by – so commuters can relax in the beautiful setting of their new home whilst looking forward to a hassle-free journey into work.”

At Coopers Edge David Wilson Homes is also offering the Government-back HomeBuy Direct scheme on selected properties. HomeBuy Direct gives homebuyers the chance to move in for only 70 per cent of the purchase price.

David Wilson South West will match the Government’s funding pound for pound in the venture to provide the 30 per cent equity loan to the homebuyer. The buyer finances the remaining 70 per cent through a mortgage and may need a five per cent deposit.

“Buyers visiting Coopers Edge have been particularly taken with our new showhome, the Jesmond,” said Bernice.

The spacious layout of the Jesmond makes it is perfectly suited to modern family life. There is a large open plan kitchen together with a family room and a generously sized lounge with French doors to the garden.

Upstairs is a family-sized bathroom and three double bedrooms, with the master bedroom coming compete with en-suite. A fourth bedroom is also included which can easily be transformed into a home office or playroom to suit the needs of the homebuyer.

“We are also planning to open a four bedroom, three storey Trent townhouse show home which boasts a living/dining area with French doors onto the garden and a second floor master bedroom with a dressing room and an en-suite,” said Bernice.

Buyers searching for a three bedroom home need look no further than the Archford. With an open plan kitchen and dining area and French doors to the garden, this design features a separate living room and an en-suite to the master.

Also available will be the spacious four bedroom three storey Beaulieu townhouse. It boasts four double bedrooms and an en-suite to the master.

Two bedroom apartments will be released in the future.
