Get ‘active’ and avoid piling on the pounds

Get Active this winter! That’s the message from Vauxhall, with a new range of generously-equipped special editions that are stacked up with extras without piling on the pounds. The Active versions of Corsa, Meriva, New Astra and New Zafira are all on sale now, and their figures are made even more attractive with zero percent finance available across the range.

The Active family line up kicks off with the stylish Corsa Active, priced from only £9,495 on-the-road. At this price, many rivals offer basic trim levels, but Corsa Active comes with body-coloured bumpers, mirrors and mouldings, smart 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, white sports dials, a stereo-radio/CD player with steering wheel controls, a leather covered steering wheel, electric front windows, an alloy-effect centre console, platinum-coloured seatbelts and dark tail lights, plus a choice of Platinum or Blue Twist trim. Engine choices are 1.0i 12v and 1.2i 16v petrol, a 1.7 CDTi 16v diesel or a 1.4i 16v automatic petrol model.

Meriva Active has an even more impressive array of features. With prices starting at £12,300, the innovative and stylish mini-MPV comes with a choice of 1.4i 16v, 1.6i 16v or 1.7CDTi 16v engines, air conditioning, dark tinted Solar Protect glass, 16-inch seven-spoke alloys, a stereo-radio/CD player, steering wheel audio controls, a leather covered steering wheel, FlexSpace rear seating, chrome effect instrument surrounds and Charcoal or Blue Enigma interior trim.

Petrol engines in the five-door Astra Active include 1.4i 16v and 1.6i 16v, plus a 1.8i 16v automatic, along with Vauxhall’s acclaimed 90PS CDTi diesel powerplant. The great value-for-money offered by the Active range is no more apparent than on this great value-for-money variant of New Astra, which includes air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, six airbags, a multi-function trip computer, stereo-radio/CD player with steering wheel controls, body-coloured bumpers, mirrors and mouldings, remote control deadlocking and a choice of Charcoal or Grey Tabita trim, not to mention the great driving dynamics and stylish design for which New Astra has become rightfully well known. Prices start at £13,675.

The Active line-up also sees the introduction of the first ever special edition New Zafira. Priced from only £15,695, Zafira Active comes with all of the facets of the award-winning Zafira range, including Vauxhall’s acclaimed Flex7 seating layout and a top five-star EuroNCAP rating. On top of that, standard kit includes air conditioning, 16-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, air conditioning, alloy-effect roof rails, a stereo-radio/CD player, steering wheel audio controls, dark-tinted Solar Protect glass, body-coloured bumpers, mirrors and mouldings, full-size front and second row curtain airbags and a choice of Charcoal or Grey Tabita trim. Engine choices are 1.6i 16v, 1.8i 16v and 2.2i 16v petrol, plus the 120PS version of Vauxhall’s impressive 1.9-litre CDTi diesel engine.

What’s more, Vauxhall retailers are offering a fabulous 0% finance deal on the entire Active range, with four years’ interest-free credit on Corsa, Meriva and New Astra, and three years’ on New Zafira, subject to a minimum deposit of 40%.
