Rosewood, Barratt’s exciting new development near Aldwick in West Sussex, has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the judges of the annual ‘South and South East in Bloom’ competition.

“The judges are highly skilled horticulturalists and they were amazed by the quality of the landscaped gardens at Rosewood, particularly as this new development is still under construction,” said Brian Dodd, who represents the parish council on the Aldwick in Bloom team.

“Each year, Aldwick submits entries to the South and South East committee, which covers the whole of the south of England, and we consistently win awards. In 2009 the parish won the Silver Gilt award and we were the Category Winner in the Urban Community section.”

The Certificate of Excellence was presented to Ian Sneddon, Barratt’s commercial director, at a special award ceremony recently.

“We play an integral role in the communities in which we build, so we are delighted to receive this award,” he said. “The Aldwick in Bloom competition encourages civic pride and makes the parish an attractive setting for businesses and residents alike.”
