Thinking of buying a car? Have one for three...

29th March 2006 Print
To truly get the measure of a car, a simple 15-minute spin around the block won’t do. That’s why Vauxhall is proud to announce the return of its innovative 3 Day Test Drive.

Commencing this weekend (April 1-2) and running for three months, potential buyers will be able to sample a Vauxhall Corsa, Meriva, Tigra, Astra, Astra Sport Hatch, Zafira or Vectra for a full 72 hour period.

The scheme, which was a massive success last year, means you can find out the answers to essential questions such as ‘Does the engine perform well on the roads I use every day?’, ‘Will the baby’s pushchair go in the boot?’ or ‘Will it fit in my garage?’.
Participating Vauxhall retailers will be making nearly 2,000 cars available from the beginning of April until the end of June to cater for the extra demand. By that time, around 50,000 potential buyers are expected to have experienced the quality, style and driving dynamics of the latest Vauxhall range.

Across Europe the 3 Day Test Drive will be taking place in 40 different countries, making it the biggest test drive initiative in the world.

Vauxhall’s marketing director Andy Gilson said: "We are truly confident in our range of cars, and want people to experience them in everyday situations. Last year, the programme attracted 48,000 customers to our showrooms and our research showed that a massive 71 percent of test drivers were more positive about Vauxhall as a result. We want drivers to see how one of our models will fit into their lives."

Certain restrictions will obviously apply to the offer, so customers should contact their local participating Vauxhall retailer for more information and to book a drive.
