Guests at Windjammer Landing in Saint Lucia are joining in the resort’s 20th anniversary celebrations by enjoying their thirst-quenching bed, breakfast and afternoon tea package.

It’s clear that Britons love their tea - the United Kingdom Tea Council states that 66 per cent of the British population drink tea every day. However, how many tea-lovers can say that they’ve enjoyed their cuppa from the comfort of a top Caribbean resort, with a view of the ocean and golden sandy beach?

That’s why Windjammer is offering guests the perfect chance to indulge in afternoon tea with a difference. Guests can enjoy freshly brewed tea, a selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and whipped cream, cup cakes and plenty more afternoon tea favourites, between 4 and 5pm in Jammers bar, which overlooks the crescent-shaped beach.

The afternoon tea package also has health benefits. Tea is naturally rich in antioxidants and just four cups a day can provide 17 per cent of the daily recommended calcium intake and 22 per cent of vitamin B2 intake, so there’s every excuse for guests to make time for tea during a Caribbean holiday.

Anthony Bowen, vice president and managing director of Windjammer Landing, said: “During its 20 years, Windjammer Landing has always offered a delicious variety of food for our visitors and we’re delighted to mark our 20th anniversary by pampering our guests with this special afternoon tea package. We know how much our guests enjoy a refreshing cup of tea!”

Holidaymakers can book directly with the resort by emailing tanise@windjammer-landing.com or through their travel agent or tour operator.

Caribtours (caribtours.co.uk) offers seven nights at Windjammer Landing from £1,575 per person in an Anthurium Premium Lily Suite (complimentary upgraded from an Anthurium Lily Suite) on All Inclusive. Price includes return scheduled flights with Virgin Atlantic, private transfers and the delicious afternoon tea, as well as all meals and drinks.

As an added bonus, holidaymakers can also receive Sun Dollars, which are resort credits based on the number of nights and accommodation booked and can be redeemed against services including excursions, spa treatments and food and beverages at the resort’s restaurants.
