Miller Homes goes on the hunt for hotel memorabilia

Award-winning house builder Miller Homes East Midlands is asking people in Lincolnshire to help them in the hunt for memorabilia linked to a former hotel that once played host to the stars.
Miller Homes is organising an exhibition to be held at its exclusive Falcon Heath development, which is built on the site of the former Four Seasons Hotel in Dunholme.
The decision was taken after a number of people purchased properties on the development because of its links to the hotel and it’s hoped that the exhibition will not only celebrate the site’s history but allow visitors to look at and relive some extremely fond memories.
The hotel became a regular haunt for celebrities taking a break from playing to packed audiences at Skegness theatres during the 1970s and 1980s.
Playing host to the likes of Les Dawson, Little and Large, Frankie Howerd, The Krankies, Jimmy Cricket, Joe Longthorne, Des O'Connor , Freddie and the Dreamers, Bobby Davro and many more, the hotel became famous for drawing in visitors from near and far.
After the owners Joan and Dennis Hall sold the business in 1987, the hotel failed to live up to its hey-day. The hotel was derelict for a number of years until being demolished in 1990. Miller Homes East Midlands has now built an exclusive development of 26 three, four and five-bedroomed homes on the site.
Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, commented:
“If anyone has any items, such as autographs or photographs, that they would kindly like to let us borrow for the exhibition, we would be really excited to hear from them, or indeed, if any of the acts who performed at the Four Seasons would like to provide any memorabilia or help out in any way, we would love them to get in contact.
“Our aim is to give visitors to Falcon Heath a real glimpse into the history of the site.”
The Falcon Heath development is home to among others, the stylish four-bedroomed Derwent property priced at £339,950 and the unique Dunston property boasting five bedrooms and spacious interior, with an asking price of £349,950.
