Helicopter trips in Andorra

Visitors to Andorra can now experience a panoramic bird’s eye view of the snow-covered mountains thanks to the pioneering helicopter company Heliand that transports guests high over the Andorran slopes.

Heliand offer a range of excursions for visitors who are keen to discover some of the remote spots that cannot be reached by land. Looking down from high above the mountain peaks, guests can experience a serene sight of untouched fresh snow and frozen mountain lakes.

Groups of four can embark on these unique excursions which depart from the popular ski resorts of Vallnord and Grandvalira. Flights take guests on one of three exciting routes taking in the Coma Pedrosa peak which lies 2,947 metres above sea level, the lakes of Tristaina and Forcats and the mountain villages of El Serrat and La Massana.

Excursions are priced from €70 per person based on four people sharing and last from ten to twenty minutes. For a real splurge, Heliand also offer private helicopter transfers to and from Andorra from Toulouse or Barcelona for a maximum of five people. This is a fantastic and indulgent way to be transported straight to the slopes or back to the airport but at €2,500 it doesn’t come cheap!
