Teutonic tour takes in Poland and beyond

12th March 2010 Print

A Teutonic-themed tour to Poland and Russia is one of the showpiece holidays being offered by a company specialising in walking and trekking breaks.

Ramblers Worldwide Holidays has designed the 15-day trip to allow visitors to take in the wonderful Polish capital of Warsaw, the beauty of the Bialowieza National Forest, the port of Gdansk, the Baltic coast and the city of Kaliningrad in Russia.

The Teutonic Nights tour is just one of many walking trips offered by the UK-based company, which has been operating for 60 years.

Acting Director of the Polish National Tourist Office Bogdan Becla said: “Tour companies are getting more and more inventive with the trips they’re offering to Poland which can only be a good thing for people who want to visit our wonderful country.

“There’s a lot of choice now for people and I’d urge anyone who’s thinking of a holiday in Poland to try something a little bit different.”

David Kay from Ramblers Worldwide Holidays said: “We offer an overview of Poland with a trip to Kaliningrad included, which we think is pretty much unique.

“It makes a fascinating contrast to see Russia and Poland, with the tour covering pretty much everything including walking, culture, ancient and modern history, nature and of course a good look at rural Poland.”
